Love your plug for the Pillar. I feel the same and am always talking about them. You and the Pillar are my two paid Substack subscriptions, and both are 100 percent worth it!

“The married people talked too much” 😂 Haha, y’all did, and I’m glad you’re planning to invite Clare back. I love the podcast and always get excited when I see a new episode drop!

"I mean, maybe George Washington was worth it? But probably not even him." Hahaha I loved this. So true.

“Take a walk and be super judgey of other people’s Christina’s decorations…” has me 100%. I actually do things like this with my teen. We live in Los Angeles so we have “how ugly is the custom paint job on that cyber truck?” and more. It’s great fun and perfect for bonding over things that don’t elevate the heart rate!

“How ugly is the custom paint job on that cyber truck?” !!!!! May God bless you with an abundance of beauty to heal your eyes from that affront. I didn’t realize Cyber Trucks could get uglier!

I've loved discovering the space you've created here. Thanks.

I much enjoyed your analysis of astrology. I loved watching where your analysis took you, like these statements about God: "His thoughts are not our thoughts, His ways are not our ways, and His plans are inscrutable. We cannot know them." And this conclusion: "in the end, we either need to make peace with not knowing and not being in control, or lose peace for all eternity."

With that in mind, I started wondering about other things that may pose the same lack-of-trust trap in more palatable forms. Say, energy healing (reiki, for instance). Or, more broadly accepted practices like genetic testing to reveal tendencies that may affect your health. Are these approaches also more antiseptic attempts at divination that should be avoided?

Thanks again!

Also, and not that it’s important, but JD and Ed are hysterically funny at times. Love the Pillar!

Do moral issues like transgender topics of the day count as things we shouldn’t try and convince family and friends of? Or are they “politics.”

Only as far as they are actually interested in having a conversation. I think a “I would love to talk with you about this if you are really interested in what I think,”’is both a good invitation to conversation and a good rule for when to engage extensively. Beyond that, I would pray without ceasing for them to be open, even just a little bit, to a real conversation or at least to be curious about why you think differently than them.
