I love the antiphons, but it's a bit of a challenge on how to utilize them when we're traveling already. I do like how there's a verse of O Come O Come Emmanuel for each antiphon, so some years I try to sing the verse of the day with the kids. I also really like Malcolm Guite's series of poems on the antiphons for myself. But having your curated poems here has been such a gift. I didn't have to pack anything to keep them going!
My mom gifted us clay ornaments forth that are the symbols of the Jesse Treeand a small tree. We put it in our family altar and every morning my son asks what the symbol is. We haven’t been great at reading the scripture together, but hoping the tradition grows deeper each year we do it.

Love the O Antiphons…and what a lovely tradition!
Rejoice! To the Shall Come Emmanuel! Thanks for the O Antiphons idea, Emily. I would like to try this with my family. God Bless!
G'day Emily,
