I bought Blueberries for Sal for my grandkids for Christmas and look forward to reading it. My 2 yo granddaughter loves the book “Play With Me” by Mary Hall Ets, also a Caldecott Honor book, written in 1976. She received it from the Dolly Parton book program. It reminds me a little of Blueberries for Sal.
I loved this one - such a timely piece and just a great reminder to stop and breathe before I start judging others, which is something I struggle with. Always look forward to reading these!
