I remember when we had contractors working and one of my toddlers grabbed a chair to reach the counter where he pushed a light fixture I had just received in the mail off the island. I had foolishly taken it out of the styrofoam to admire it and put it on the counter for a solid minute before it happened. The contractor looked at me with a mix of empathy and shock. I can’t even remember what crazy joke came out of my mouth, but it is a core memory.🤣
