🥹🥹 I taught in low-income areas like this through Teach For America and after. Love Montessori and almost went that direction to continue my teaching career. Thank you for sharing and going to donate now!

I loved my Montessori years from ages 3-5. I am happy to be able to support your friends and their work. Thank you for asking for them and their students.

Thanks for the opportunity to donate. It would be my dream to have these schools available everywhere.

Thanks for highlighting this! I’ve really been concerned about the viability of Catholic schools as more families choose the homeschooling route. Our kiddos attend a wonderful Catholic school and it’s such a blessing to us. Our school is blessed with abundant resources so I’m very happy to contribute!

I’m a bigger believer in Montessori so I’m happy to donate. I purchased items off the Amazon list. Just so others know, it told me it couldn’t be delivered to a registry address at first. I went in and added to school’s address manually as one of my addresses in my Amazon account and then it allowed the order to be shipped there.

Emily, I’m really happy to have the opportunity to make a donation. When my sister and brother-in-law were expecting their first child, they lived on the same street as a Montessori school. When their son was old enough, they enrolled him there. They had a second child, and moved to another part of the state. They enrolled their son in a nearby Montessori school. My sister began volunteering at the school when their younger child was old enough to be enrolled. To make a long story short, my sister eventually trained to be a Montessori teacher, and then my brother-in-law did, too. They’ve taught at different Montessori schools over the years. Both of their kids were in Montessori schools through eighth grade. The family received financial aid all throughout their school years, because there was no way they could have paid full tuition. Both kids are now married and have children of their own, all of whom are enrolled in Montessori schools. My sister and brother-in-law are supposedly retired now, but they’re always available to tutor children referred to them by a Montessori school!

I volunteer with the Christ Child Society, DC Chapter. I wonder if there's a local Christ Child Society that would consider sponsoring something for your children's school. Their mission is beautiful. Best wishes!

Thanks for bringing this cause to us, Emily! I’d love to get an update on how their fundraising is going, if you are able to share any about it next time you post.
